Most moles are benign and shouldn’t pose any troubles apart from the way they look. Some atypical moles might develop into malignant melanoma or cancer of the skin which could potentially be lethal. Almost all moles are generally genetic. The majority of moles differ in size and the shape and pigmentation vary from type to type.

Moles are a nevucellular skin occurrence situated in several layers of the skin. Every person has moles. Most people see them as brown spots on the skin but they can also be blue and yellow. Moles could appear anywhere on the skin but especially on the arms, head and neck.

Sometimes moles are thought of as cool and are referred to as “beauty marks” but we all know that’s not the case with most of them. They can be awfully unattractive when they are raised from the skin and especially when they grow hairs.

Almost all moles materialize in the first 20 years of life, but that’s not factual in all instances, a few may appear later on in life.

1. Congenital nevi (also known as baby moles) – one% to 3% of all children have one or more congenital nevi when they are born. These are the most typical type of moles and are beneath the skin.
2. Junctional moles – Are normally brown but can be flat or slightly raised.
3. Compound moles – Are vaguely raised or elevated. Compound moles vary in pigmentation from tan to dark tanned and engage pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) in the upper layer and sub-layer of the skin.
4. Dermal moles – Pigmentation ranges from skin-color to tan. Dermal moles are raised, can grow hairs, and are usually found in the upper body.
5. Sebaceous moles – Overactive oil glands in the skin create sebaceous moles. They are yellow and their consistency is rough.
6. Blue moles – Blue moles, like dermal moles, compound moles or junction moles, can be a little raised. The pigment in the skin is accountable for their color. Blue moles are typically found in women on the head, neck, and arms.

There are several types of methods and products to treat moles, most of doctor recommended treatments have a good removal rate but only some natural products guarantee complete removal without any types of scars or marks after the treatment.

It is extremely important to treat your moles as soon as possible to eliminate the possibility of them turning into a cancerous tumor, even though most moles are nothing to worry about there are instances in which they could develop into cancerous melanoma and it is best not to take chances and act quickly before any problems arrive.
